For food store options include Wal-Mart, Jewel Osco, Aldi, and Food For Less. Both Wal-Mart and Jewel Osco stores remain open regular hours on Memorial Day. In fact Jewel Osco offers military personnel and first responders 15% off their purchase with valid ID. Aldi remains open until 6p.m. Food For Less stores remain open regular hours as well.
For emergencies, both Walgreens and CVS pharmacies are open. Walgreens and CVS only offer early holiday closing times on during Christmas. However, if those stores aren’t open in your area Walmart and Jewels also have pharmacy sections.
Memorial Day stores open for home goods or decorating, repair items include Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Lowes, and Sam’s Club. Sam’s Club stores remain open until 6 p.m. Which is good for bulk supplies, and backyard items including furniture in case you are hosting a party. Lowes, and Home Depot remain open until 10 p.m for last day Memorial discounts. This may be awesome if you are working on renovation projects. Ace Hardware closes at 8 p.m, also great for other emergencies like making copies for house members lost keys.
